Why Sunrise Manor Homeowners Choose Dvele Construction

Steel Horse Construction provides Dvele in Sunrise Manor construction service and repair, focusing on the panelized wall systems, factory-installed cabinetry, and prefabricated roofing assemblies these off-site-built homes are known for. We’re not a Dvele dealer or an authorized warranty contractor. We’re a licensed general contractor whose crews have opened up enough Dvele wall cavities and roof module joints to know exactly how these homes behave after a few Mojave summers and monsoon seasons in Sunrise Manor.

The difference comes down to this: we work on the seams. Dvele homes are built in a factory to tight tolerances, then shipped to a lot and joined together. Those joints are where everything happens, and in Sunrise Manor’s heat, they’re where everything eventually fails. We know the failure patterns, we stock the right sealants and flashing, and we don’t guess. If you own a Dvele home in Sunrise Manor and something’s leaking, sticking, or separating, call us at (877) 265-5715 and we’ll tell you straight what you’re dealing with.

Why Trust Steel Horse Construction for Your Dvele Construction?

Dvele homes are not stick-built. They arrive in Sunrise Manor as wall panels, roof cassettes, and factory-finished modules that get craned into place and bolted together. A crew that’s only ever framed tract housing will treat a Dvele seam like a standard butt joint, and six months later the homeowner has dust blowing through a wall cavity. Russ Dillard, our owner and lead contractor, grew up in Sunrise Manor not far from Dvele repair in Nellis Air Force Base. He learned the fundamentals at College of Southern Nevada’s vocational program, then spent years on residential and commercial jobs across the valley before starting Steel Horse. We’ve pulled apart enough Dvele panel joints to know what the factory did right, and what the desert does to it over time.

Our crews understand Dvele’s panelized 2×4 and 2×6 framed wall assemblies, their factory-installed cabinetry packages, and their modular wet-wall systems. We work with OEM-compatible flashing and sealants where the manufacturer still supplies them, and we use heavier-grade aftermarket components where the factory spec wasn’t built for North Las Vegas Dvele service area conditions. Every repair is done without voiding what’s left of your factory coverage. We document what we found, what we did, and what parts we used. And we don’t walk off a job until it’s right. Russ’s name is on the work, and he’s known around Sunrise Manor for being stubborn about that.

We build it like it’s our name on the wall, because it is.

Common Dvele Construction Problems We Fix in Sunrise Manor

  • Factory-sealed panel seams and sheathing joints opening up. Dvele wall panels are sealed at the factory, but the Mojave thermal cycle is brutal. Surface temperatures swing 50 degrees or more between a July afternoon and a November night, and the expansion and contraction works those seam sealants until they crack and pull away. Once a seam opens, monsoon wind-driven rain and fine desert dust get driven into the wall cavity. We see this most often on west-facing walls in Sunrise Manor, where afternoon sun hits the panel face for hours in the summer.
  • Prefinished factory cabinetry failing at the toe-kick and cabinet-to-wall connections. Dvele cabinetry is finished in the factory, which means the finish itself is usually excellent. The problem is the connection. When the modules were set, the panelized framing was shimmed to level, and over time those shims settle. Cabinet boxes that were tight to the wall start to pull away, toe-kicks crack at the fasteners, and doors that closed cleanly start binding. We reset the boxes, re-shim properly, and re-anchor to the framing rather than the drywall.
  • Roof panel flashing and module-to-module seam leaks. A Dvele roof is not one continuous surface. It’s a series of factory-built cassettes joined at module seams, and each of those joints is flashed with metal and sealant. After a few seasons of intense UV followed by monsoon microbursts, the sealant at those module joints degrades and the flashing can lift. Water finds its way in slowly, usually showing up as a ceiling stain in the room directly below the joint, not near any visible exterior damage.
  • Moisture and air barrier continuity issues behind tubs and showers in factory-built wet walls. Dvele’s modular wet-wall and bathroom pod assemblies are efficient to install, but the barrier continuity at the module interface is only as good as the original set. We’ve opened up wet-wall cavities in Sunrise Manor where the barrier tape was misaligned from day one, or degraded to the point that moisture was wicking into the adjacent framing. By the time the homeowner sees a soft spot or smells mildew, the damage is well underway behind the wall.
  • Panel edge separation at module set lines. When Dvele modules are craned into place, the vertical seam where two modules meet is supposed to be tight and continuously sealed. On homes set during extreme heat, or on Sunrise Manor lots where the foundation wasn’t perfectly level, those vertical module set lines can separate noticeably. You’ll see it as a hairline crack running floor to ceiling every module width, or as a slight ridge under the drywall. It’s not just cosmetic. An open set line lets conditioned air out and 105-degree air in.

Dvele Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

For Dvele homes in Sunrise Manor, we source factory-match components directly from the manufacturer where they’re still in production and available. Dvele still supplies many of their panel seals, flashing details, and cabinet hardware, and when we can get the exact part, that’s what we use. But the factory parts catalog doesn’t cover everything, and it definitely doesn’t cover what 15 years of desert UV does to a roof panel joint. Where an exact factory part isn’t needed or isn’t up to the conditions, we use proven aftermarket flashing, UV-rated sealants, and cabinet hardware rated for the Mojave climate. In a lot of cases, the aftermarket sealant we install outperforms what the factory originally put on the home.

The repair-vs-replace call is straightforward. A failed seam or flashing detail gets repaired and re-sealed. That’s a penetration issue, not a structural one. But a roof panel with delaminating sheathing, or a cabinet box that’s rotted or structurally failing at the toe-kick, that’s a replace. We don’t patch things that are done. We tell you what’s worth saving and what’s not, and we don’t sell you work you don’t need. If you’re not sure which side of the line your problem falls on, call (877) 265-5715 and we’ll come take a look. Estimates are free.

Our Dvele Service Process – Step by Step

  1. 1
Diagnosis. We start by finding the actual source, not the symptom. A ceiling stain in the bedroom might be a roof module joint three feet away, or a wet-wall barrier failure behind a tub. On Dvele homes we check the module set lines first, because that’s where the smoke usually comes from. We document everything with photos and notes.
  2. 2
Repair or install. We open only what we have to, repair the seam or replace the component, and re-seal every joint with materials rated for Sunrise Manor’s UV and monsoon conditions. Every penetration gets flashed and sealed like it’s going to see a microburst next week, because it probably will.
  3. 3
Test. After any Dvele repair involving water or air barrier work, we test the repair. That means running water on the repaired roof joint, checking wall seams for air movement, and verifying that doors and cabinetry operate cleanly after re-anchoring. We don’t hand you back a home we haven’t verified.
  4. 4
Warranty. All of our Dvele work is backed by our workmanship warranty. We don’t state a fixed term here because it depends on the scope, but we’ll put it in writing on your estimate before any work starts. The one thing we’ll tell you up front: if we touched it and it fails, we’ll make it right.

Still deciding whether the issue even needs a pro? Call us before you open that wall. On a Dvele home, the seam you can’t see is the one that’s leaking.

Dvele Products We Service & Install in Sunrise Manor

We service and install across Dvele’s core assemblies: the panelized 2×4 and 2×6 framed wall systems, factory-installed cabinetry packages, prefabricated roofing and sheathing panels, and the modular wet-wall and bathroom pod assemblies. We carry a local stock of the sealants, flashing profiles, and cabinet hardware most commonly needed on Dvele homes in Sunrise Manor, which means many repairs go from diagnosis to done without waiting on a parts shipment.

Beyond Dvele-specific work, we handle full-scope remodeling inside these homes: full kitchen remodels, metal roof replacements, and the structural work that goes along with opening walls and reconfiguring spaces. Dvele set the home. We make it work in this climate.

We Also Service These Brands

Sunrise Manor homeowners don’t have single-brand homes, and neither are we. While Dvele work is a big part of what we do, we also carry and install KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Kohler plumbing fixtures, among 50+ other vetted brand partnerships. That matters when you’re remodeling a kitchen in a Dvele home and want finishes that match the house’s level of build quality. One contractor handles the whole scope, not five specialty shops pointing fingers.
